The modular concept of pumps, heat exchangers, mixers, reactors and sensors allows flexible and consistent setup and scale-up from laboratory development to pilot plant production.

The MicroReactor plant can also be integrated in conventional batch processes. In one such Lonza plant, a multi-ton campaign of a pharmaceutical intermediate was carried out in summer 2009 and many others are currently being investigated.

Regular customer feedback tells us that they highly value Lonza’s consistent approach from lab development to large production campaigns, where it has been often the case that projects were only possible through the application of microreactors. Customers value Lonza’s flexible and elegant offering of both continuous and traditional batch manufacturing solutions that can accommodate a broad product portfolio.
