| Publication regarding changes in voting rights according to Art. 21 SESTA |
Lonza Group Ltd, Muenchensteinerstrasse 38, 4002 Basel, announces that it has been informed by Allianz SE, Königinstr. 28, DE-80802 München, on 4 April 2007 that it exceeded the threshold of 5% of the voting rights as of 4 April 2007, and that it now holds via (i) Dresdner Bank AG, Jürgen-Ponto-Platz 1, DE-60301 Frankfurt am Main and (ii) Dresdner Kleinwort Securities Ltd, 30 Gresham Street, GB-London EC3P 3XY, 3,682,615 registered shares with a nominal value of CHF 1.- each of Lonza Group Ltd, which represents 7,30% voting rights.
