| Publication regarding changes in voting rights according to Art. 21 SESTA |
Lonza Group Ltd, Muenchensteinerstrasse 38, 4002 Basel announces that it has been informed by Ems-Chemie Holding AG, Kugelgasse 22, 8708 Männedorf, on 4 July 2007 that its participation per 1 July 2007 amounts to: 1'585'740 registered shares with a nominal value of CHF 1.-, representing 3.14% of the voting rights, and 2’400’00 call options representing 4.76%, hence totalling 7.9%.

Die Lonza Group AG, Münchensteinerstrasse 38, 4002 Basel, zeigt hiermit an, dass ihr die EMS-Chemie Holding AG, Kugelgasse 22, 8708 Männedorf, mit Schreiben vom 4. Juli 2007 mitgeteilt hat, dass sie per 1. Juli 2007 folgende Titel besitzt: 1'585'740 Namenaktien à nominal CHF 1.-, entsprechend einem Stimmrechtsanteil von 3.14%, sowie 2'400'000 Call-Optionen, entsprechend einem Anteil von 4.76%, insgesamt somit 7.9%.
