| Lonza moves forward to grow Lonzacure® applications by taking over the distribution to the end customers |
After serving the North-America market in collaboration with Air Products for almost 10 years, Lonza has decided to further develop the Lonzacure® market in strong collaborations with the end customers. Lonza has therefore decided to distribute Lonzacure® M-CDEA products directly without a distribution partner based on our optimized logistics & warehousing processes. As consequence, the distribution agreement between Air Products and Lonza was terminated per September 12, 2007. Lonza thanks Air Products for the co-operation and partnership.
Lonzacure® M-CDEA is an outstanding chain extender for high performance cast polyurethane applications. It is preferably used with low TDI free polyurethane prepolymers. It provides excellent mechanical properties with low heat build-up under regular high compression loads, superior hydrolytic resistance up to temperatures of 150°C (300°F), low wear and tear, and can be processed easily with ribbon-flow technology. Lonzacure® M-CDEA has been approved in Europe for polyurethane coatings used in contact with food.
Lonza continues to be committed to supplying Lonzacure® to the cast polyurethane and epoxy industries. Lonza has been successfully producing a series of aromatic amines under the trade number Lonzacure® for more than 20 years from their main plant in Switzerland.
