| Lonza finalizes the divestiture of its Singapore Purified Isophthalic Acid plant |
Basel, 20.11.2007 – Lonza Group (SWX:LONN) announces the closing of the divestiture of 100% of the shares of Lonza Singapore Pte Ltd. to Perstorp Group as of November 19, 2007. The transaction, with a value of USD 138 million, was announced at the end of September 2007.
This deal represents another milestone in Lonza’s strategy to focus on its life science operations, following the transformational changes to its portfolio implemented over the last year. Over 90% of Lonza’s sales now relate directly to the life sciences.
