1. What is your current role at Lonza?
I am head of the QA/QC department at Lonza’s Kourim, Czech Republic site. I am responsible (with great help from my team) for maintaining and improving our quality system, which covers different types of quality standards (GMP, HACCP, FAMI-QS, ISO, kosher, halal). We have the possibility of improving the well-being of humankind by providing high-quality intermediates, APIs, and services. Working for QA/QC is never routine.

2. Why do you like working at Lonza?

I am actively participating on interesting projects. I like to work with knowledgeable colleagues, and I like to lead and develop my team. I also like to manage diverse tasks at the same time.

3. What is your special (also regional) benefit about working at Lonza?
Lonza offers a competitive benefits package together with training and development programs. One of our “special” Czech benefits is that we provide commuters extra travel pay.

4. What are your goals at Lonza?
Together with my team, I would like to continuously improve the quality system in Lonza. Our site will work on many new projects, and I realize that enduring support of QA/QC department is crucial to the success of these projects.

5. Which was your most amazing experience?
When I joined the company in 2005, as many visitors, I was amazed by the combination of the small historical town of Kouřim and the high-tech technology plant of Lonza.

1. What is your current role at Lonza?
My current position is Documentation Specialist Lead. As a lead, my responsibilities include supervising the documentation department. I ensure the documentation accuracy in the batch record as well as all the supporting attachments. I also train company employees on current documentation policies implemented by the Quality Assurance team in Riverside, Pennsylvania.

2. Why do you like working at Lonza?
I like working at Lonza because there is a lot of opportunity to grow and flourish in the company. I like that fact that I can use and expand on my professional skills. One of the things that I appreciate the most is that we foster an open communication policy. In my opinion, proper communication between staff endorses an effective and conducive working environment.

3. What are your goals at Lonza?
One of my goals is to have a totally complaint department that will ensure all of Lonza is complaint in all documented paperwork. I would like to become the manager of the Documentation Department and have a solid Documentation staff.

4. What did you do prior to joining Lonza?
Prior to my employment with Lonza, I worked for Shire Pharmaceuticals where I also worked in corporate quality. My responsibilities included but were not limited to product complaints from clinical to phase 4 as well as cGMP documentation.
