1. What is your current role at Lonza?
As a chemist of Lonza Nansha RD, I have worked here for nearly 5 years. My routine jobs include synthesis routes exploring, process development and evaluation of new projects. I also train new colleagues of RD for Cis-web and literature search in my daily work.
2. Why do you like working at Lonza? How is the working environment?
I work here with other colleagues like brothers and sisters. I like the feeling.
3. Please tell me about an amazing experience you have had at Lonza.
Every year, RD holds a Christmas party. Last year, my wife and son took part in it. We played bowling and sang songs together with our colleagues. We all enjoyed it.
4. What did you do prior to joining Lonza?
Before joining Lonza, I was a lecturer of Shanxi Medical University, teaching organic
chemistry for undergraduates, organic synthesis for graduate students.

1. What is your current role at Lonza?
I lead the manufacutring team at Lonza’s Kouřim, Czech Republic site, and my responsibilities are to direct interactions with our clients, to supervise and guide manager and process technologists, to maintain manufacturing plans, to ocnduct and report on meetings pertinent to manufacturing, to communication with all internal deparmtnets, mainly QA, Operations, MSAT and SHE, to direct and coordinate continuous improvement activities, and to hire and exalualate technical professionals for manufacturing.
2. Why do you like working at Lonza?
I like to work with young poeple who are entusiastic, proactive and very friendly. I think this helps to work through projects much more smoothly.
3. What makes Lonza unique?
A mordern way of management, high standards and a culture that values honesty and transparency with a friendly working atmosphere make Lonza unique.
4. Which was your most amazing experience?
The most amazing experience was when I decided to change my life and move my family from Slovakia to the Czech Republic. My husband and I decided to do it in very simply way, much like a holiday trip: We closed the door, sat in the car and moved our family to the Czech Republic. I remember it was a hard time for me and my family, but I am very happy that my husband supported me the entire time. Looking back, I now have to say that this decision made my family much stronger. Finally, there is one excellent benefit: Our family has good friends in both the Czech Republic and in Slovakia.

1. What is your current role at Lonza?
Since 5 years I am working as a chemist in the process research and development department. Within a team of technicians, engineers and production chemists I am responsible for the chemical development of a new process starting from literature route or given technical packages.
2. Why do you like working at Lonza?
The job is very diversified. With every new project I get further insights and knowledge in process technology and new synthesis routes. Problems can be discussed with colleagues in an open and creative atmosphere. Moreover, I appreciate the friendly and productive working environment without any barriers between the hierarchical levels.
Moreover, since the birth of my daughter I have the opportunity to work part-time in my job which I really appreciate.
3. What makes Lonza unique?
For me, the location of the site in Visp in the middle of mountains is unique. My office provides a gorgeous view on the mountain site.
4. Please tell me about an amazing experience you have had at Lonza
An amazing experience for me was my first production campaign. To see the up scaling from a 1l vessel in the lab to a 10 m3 reactor and the first big bag product coming out of the production.
5. What do you like doing in your free time?
In my free time I spent most of the time outdoor, snowshoeing in the winter and hiking or mountain biking in the summer. For me this is the best way to relax.
6. What does your job give to you?
Fun, permanent learning
